ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. John B. Toews teaches history at the University of Calgary. He has
written numerous articles and several books dealing with the history of
the Mennonites. Two of his works, "Lost Fatherland" and "Czars, Soviets
and Mennonites" have added much to our understanding of the Mennonite
experience in Russian and the exodus from Russia.
