I-lO-l-Z-1 means the first child of the second child of the first child of the tenth child of the ancestor* who would be Doris Buller* daughter of Mathilda Frey Buller* a grandchild of Mrs. Aganetha Frey Klassen and a great-grandchild of Johann We Reimer. EDNA NACHTIGAL BUHLER, KANSAS HISTORICAL SKETCH In the year 1876 a group of Mennonites migrated to America primarily to avoid military conscription. Our Grandmother Reimer (Anna Warkentin) migrated with this group. Grandfather Aaron Reimer died two years previous to this migration. In 1874 Grandmother came from the Furstenwe rder Molatchna colony , South Russia. She brought with her the three youngest sons, John V, Abraham W. , and Simon W. , and three of her married daughters with their families, Peter Dyck (Maria), Jacob P. Schmidt (Elisabeth), and Johann Loeven (Katherina). The other three children with their families, Aaron Reimer, Martin Jansen (Anna), Abraham Conrad (Margaretha) , stayed in Russia Martin Jansen later moved to Asia. o 5 Grandmother Aaron Reimer settled in the eastern part of McPherson County, Kansas, in Section 36-20-Xw, three miles west and three-fourths mile north of the Alexanderwohl Church. Grandmother had the -orivilege of having her children live within a radius of five miles of the parental home, with the youngest son, Simon, living with her on the home place. The John W.
